Ka-blooey

I find it kind of funny that The Davinci Code movie wound up sucking. What’s even more perplexing (and sad to me) is how many people want to find so much truth in these “new discoveries.” When Tom Hanks was questioned his opinion regarding the church’s outrage on this movie, he said the movie wasn’t a documentary. The whole thing is fiction. Yet I know so many people who are reeled in by all this, as if it could possibly be true. It’s a movie, folks!

it’s no suprise, really. the owerwhelming hotness of Audrey Tatou is nowhere near a match for the overwhelming craptitude of Tom Hanks. I’ve been telling people that for years, maybe now they’ll start listening.

For me, personally, I’ve always formed the opposite opinion of movies than the critics’ - and find critics actually worthless. I like to form my own opinions, rather than go with someone else’s view of the movie (or anything else, for that matter). Unforntunately I don’t get to the movies much anymore, but really can’t wait to see this one. Who knows, maybe it will suck. Nevertheless, I will probably enjoy the fiction part.

The book sucked. Mainly due to to his horrible writing skills. (His other books all read like he writes with one crappy template.)

I thought that movie might be better since you can keep the good part of the book (the interesting ideas) but lose the crappy writing.

Not that I was planning on seeing it mind you..
